The short version: Halo Lift stores your training data locally on your device. We do not have user accounts, do not collect personal information, and do not sell or share your data. If you connect Apple Health, step and activity data is read only to your device and never transmitted. The only data leaving your device is anonymous purchase information required for subscription billing.
Halo Lift ("Halo Lift," "we," "us") is a minimal workout and strength tracking app for iOS. This policy explains how the app handles your information.
Halo Lift is built to be local-first. The training information you enter — including workouts, exercises, sets, reps, weights, routines, personal records, body weight, and goals — is stored locally on your device. We do not upload this information to our servers, because we do not operate servers that store your personal training data.
Halo Lift does not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or sign in. You can use the app without giving us any personal identifying information.
Halo Lift offers an optional paid subscription, Halo Pro, processed through Apple's App Store. To manage subscription status, we use a third-party service (RevenueCat) which receives an anonymous identifier and your purchase status. This does not include your name, email, or any training data.
We never receive or store your payment card details. All payment processing is handled by Apple.
Halo Lift can optionally connect to Apple Health to display your daily steps and active energy. This connection is entirely optional and only happens if you grant permission.
This data is read directly from Apple Health to your device and used solely to display your step count and activity within the app.
Your Apple Health data stays on your device at all times. You can revoke access anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Halo Lift. Apple's handling of Health data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
If you enable notifications, Halo Lift schedules them locally on your device using iOS's built-in notification system. Notification content (such as workout reminders) is generated on your device and is never sent to any server.
Halo Lift is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Because your training data lives on your device, you remain in control of it. You can export a full backup at any time, and deleting the app removes the data stored on your device. You can revoke Apple Health access in iOS Settings.
Your training data is stored on your device and protected by your device's own security. Because we do not collect or centrally store your personal training data, there is no central database of user information to breach.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
